I love honey & oat biscults and have always wanted to make some.
But instead of making them into biscults i made them as nice cakes .
I looked for a nice recipe that might make a nice batch , i did and i have changed it alittle .
4oz/110g butter or sunflower margarine
2oz/50g soft brown sugar( light or dark doesnt matter)
1 beaten egg
6-8 tbsp clear honey( if you like honey you can add more than 6)
4oz/110g self-raising flour
8oz/225g rolled oats
1.Cream Together the butter & sugar , then add in the honey and mix .
2.Beat the egg and add into the creamed mixure.
3. Add in the Flour & oats adding abit at a time until you added all .
4.Make Balls out of the mixure and put onto a graesed baking tray .
5. Cook for 15-20 mins at 160c / gas mark 3 , until golden brown .
